Go see a chiropractor instead of your family doctor or regular MD. They're experts in alignment and can tell you what's really up with your collarbone. My collarbone slides out of place because of an old shoulder injury. Eventually this causes my shoulder to ache and thoracic spine to curve. The chiropractor will tell you why your collarbone is out, can put it back in place and make other postural adjustments so you can avoid complications like a curving spine

I have rheumatoid arthritis. I finally asked my doctor about my shoulder cuz my right clavicle and shoulder area always hurt and they stick out more. He just told me it was probably a tendon. But I call pish posh on that.

I believe this has to do with the body's overall posture and balance. If you regularly put more weight on one side of your body or favor one side excessively, your body structure will adapt to the kind of usage you put it through. A bad ankle can lead to a bad knee, which can alter the way you walk, making the rest of your body compensate. A bad lower back or sciatica will lead to improper balance because it sends pain signals down your legs. The same goes for the upper body. The way we lift things or even spasms in the neck and shoulder muscles can shift our structure in an unproportional way. If left unattended for extended periods of time, the body's posture can get stuck in those positions. See a chiropractor that knows how to properly align your neck and back. After your body is properly aligned, give it a few days before doing anything strenuous to let it settle in it's correct position. It might not put your collarbone back in place, but it will help prevent it from getting worse. I always tried to live an active and healthy lifestyle but due to several car and motorcycle accidents, it has been a bumpy road the past few years. However, I have learned that everything physical we do has a chain reaction oo the rest of our bodies. Take hot baths when possible to loosen up. Then spend a good 20 - 30 minutes to slowly stretch afterwards. This is the best advice I can give to my knowledge and hope it can help somebody else in need.

I'm pretty sure it's from useing this side of you upperbody more, as if you are constantly carying a bag or something with your shoulder or even long upward and downward movements with that shoulder more frequently, even a back pack where the weight isn't distributed correctly over time might do this #yoloswag

It's scoliosis (curviture of the spine) there's no fixing it. Physical therapy will help slow it down and wearing a back brace to improve your posture.

I noticed my left collar bone was sticking out about 6 months ago I went to the doctor but they said it was nothing then I started having really bad pain in my collar bone then I went back and my mum demanded a x ray then they still said it was nothing but then a week after having my x ray I was called to go straight to the hospital and I found out I dislocated my collar bone but it couldn't go back in to place because it was so long ago I dislocated it so now I have to have surgery or live with the pain

My right bone sticks out further than my left bone after my shoulder was pushed by my husband. I visited three doctors and all of them said that the tendum is torn, my collar bones are dislocated and then subjucated. The X rays did not show well because of overlayed bones. One of the doctor ordered CT. Others said it was not necessary. I have got 12 physical therapy. But it did not bones even. There is no doctor who will do the surgery. I have to live with uneven bones until i die. I am in the process of divorce.
