My left collar bone will become more pronounced some days than others. This past year I've had an array of pain issues in the shoulder area. I think it has to do more with muscle pulling the shoulder girdle and then they become more relaxed. This could just be my my case though. Tight pec minor seems to affect it.

My left collarbone sticks out more too and I don't like sleeping on my left side, although I don't feel pain at all actually. Is this normal?

I have a scheduled appointment June 13, 2017 to check out a protruded right collarbone that I noticed about 6 weeks ago, with no pain.

Ten years ago my left collarbone was protruded with slight pain. After biopsy, doctors decided it was a tumor inside my left thyroid. After tests including biopsy in New Braunfels, Texas, (due to no insurance at that time), I scheduled surgery in Celaya. Mexico with Dr Sergio Llano who had done oncology studies in Japan and the U.S. Further biopsy after removal showed tumor was benign, I was so thankful! I had just began a tiny thyroid medicine about one year ago, and now will begin this process to see what's going on with the right collarbone. I'm sure it will be benign too! Just an inconvenience to have to deal with. No matter what, I trust God to take care of me!

I'm 17 and I've always been skinny. I think it's just common in skinny People, even all my ribs are all out of whack as well. As long as there's no fatty tissue you shouldn't be to worried, maybe get it checked out if you want.

Thank you so much, everything you said applied to me. My increasingly deformed bones were bothering the life out of me, I cannot thank you enough for shedding light on why I am having all the problems I'm having. It's actually crazy how clueless I was about my condition, I thought I had a mild case of pectus carinatum. But my shoulder is lifted a bit more than the other, and my collar bone is a little bit pushed out, my sternum on one side is slightly more extruded than the other, as well as I have had a lot of back pain, and last but not least shortness of breathe doing the sports I love. I knew it all had to connect somehow.

This sounds like me. I noticed at the beginning of the year that I stand weird and my body felt as if it wanted to stand another way. I remembered when I was a child I was sway back and corrected it myself and for whatever reason I felt something off with my body at the beginning of the year and began walking and standing sway again. Since then I noticed my collar bone off centered and now it protrudes. I do experience pain on my right shoulder blade which is probably a result of me going back to walking and sitting in a sway way. I also noticed while using the restroom my hips feel off as if one is higher than the other. I am 50 years old and I guess I better get back to the way I was at the beginning of this year, correcting my sway stand and walk. Thank you so much for posting this information. I was 5"7 December 31, 2016 but recently I measured very near 5"6. Wow! Thank you again.

I have the EXACT same problem as you!!! I would also know what is wrong. Both my shoulders keep popping out, especially when doing push ups or a shoulder press. And now my left collarbone is sticking out and up. I noticed mine last night in the bathroom when the light overhead put a glare on my collarbone.
