My mistake... that I thought I could handle

I've been on Effexor XR 225 mg (3- 75mg at a time) worked for me but still would experience occasional bouts of anxiety and depression. Over the last 4 months I've gone through some pretty life changing things in life, lost my job (80% of workforce laid off),mother for sick soI took some time to help her out while looking for a job. She was in great health until and sore on her leg developed MRSA staph. She was in ando ut of hospitals from Austin to Dallas - usually 30 days at a time. On dec 28 she past out with no warning. I've been extreme 'bouts of anxiety and depression - a job would help!! Due to the job situation and paying for the funeral, and her having no choice but to cash in on her ins. policies. My bother and I were able to come up with the 10 K to bury her on New Years Eve - that sucks in itself!! Now... I can't afford my COBRA payments of 370./ month so I've lost my access to my med. Effexor 225mg, linispirl (sp) and a statin.
The big thing is coming off the Effexor and after reading up on it I'm kind of worried.

Does anyone know I can have long term affects? ( I've been on it for 7 or so years)
How long will I continue to fill "zoned out"
My arms and legs tingle
blurry vision
easily agitated and extra emotional but life has been rough lately
facial jerks

I've been off of the meds for 4 days and didn't think they would affect me like this - not suicidal or anything just very uncomfortable and just want to be back to normal.
Any recommendations - I will not do this again but like a lot of people out there things are touch right now.
