Hi! im 19 years old. Just a little over 2 years ago I was in a motorbike accident. I won't go into to too much detail but as we were going round a bend (I was pillion, a family friend was the rider) a car was on our side of the road, so he basically swiped down the side of the bike, ripping my kneecap out and threw us both off the bike. My kneecap was later found wedged between the gap of the wing and door on the car. Also my tibia and femur bones were poking through where my knee should of been, and one of the knuckles at the end of the bone had been broken off. So after many operations, I am now left with a knee that has fused naturally by scar tissue at around a 60 degree bend. My surgeons strongly recommend another operation to fuse the knee at a 10 degree bend as soon I will develop problems with my ankle/hips etc. So I would just like to know people on here find having a properally fused knee, what complications do you have Ect? Just any advice would be great. Thank you, charley
