does anyone have an answer? I've already been thru chemo a few times, but this is a new pain to me. is there an organ there? The pain is mis%able and constant, kept me up all night last night. I'm hoping there's an answer that's not cancer again. so I'm on here trying to self diagnose before calling my doctors about it. haha

you could try a gastro-enterologist, since the liver is important to digestion. good luck.

Good luck getting help. I started with same pain when I was 9 years old. First went to a chiropractor which seemed to help but the pain was intermittent. As I got older it began to last longer. I began going to doctors off and on with one doctor even telling me t was in my head. Funny, I thought it was posterior right lower rib cage. Even hurts when I take a deep breathe. I am now 68, the pain is constant and never leaves, day or night, ye no doctor has ever done an MRI. I suspect because the first doctor 40 years ago accused me of making it up. So good luck with finding out. Also, I am a woman so doctors never listen anyone, but especially not women.

Sounds exactly like the pain I'm in. It has been 6 months now that I have been having a sharp stabbing burning like feeling 2 inches from the tight of my spine just below the ribs. 3 months ago they sent me to X-ray then Ct scan thinking it was kidney stones which I had never had and the test came back normal... and got second opinion from diff. Doctor at the same clinic and he says it's a muscle strain.. I have never had a muscle strain or pulled muscle feel like this and when sitting or reclining in chair is when it hurts the worst, I am so over being in pain everyday. So the Doctor gave me Celecoxib which is for inflammation and it has done nothing for me so now what? Should they do blood test or urine test? They havnt even done that yet

Did you ever figure out what this was? I know you posted a long time ago, but it seems all of these posts about this pain are over a year old. Have you had any adrenal tests done? I am having similar pain and tingling. I am in stage 3 adrenal exhaustion confirmed by saliva testing (twice in a few years time span). I have had this pain very mildly off and on in the past but now it is pretty bad, enough to send me to the ER a week ago even though I have no insurance. All kinds of blood tests, urine test, ultrasound and everything is normal. I went to my chiropractor a couple of days after the ER and he said my adrenals were showing as weak (he does muscle testing) and gave me a supplement with adrenal and other gland tissues to try. It actually has done more than the anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxers that the ER doctor gave me. I am working to repair my adrenals so I will see if this problem eventually goes away as I heal. There is a thing called Rogoff's Sign with adrenal fatigue that sounds very similar to this issue so many of us are having. It might be worth some testing if you haven't and are still having this pain.

What is causing burning /stabbing pain under right side rib cage? I had my gallbladder removed, and that pain is still there. How long should I wait before going to the ER?
