So i have been medically diagnosed with IBS and Im 17. Last night i had severe abdominal pains, nausea, diarrhea and my whole body was shaking.. I am not overweight but a little bit chubby. I had eaten fatty foods but it has never ever been this bad after eating the same fatty foods.. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? or if its real bad?

Hi, i've spent about seven years of my life with those same symptoms, all the doctors told me things like i had IBS and that the pain was in my head and i was crazy...come to find out years later, i am alergic to gluten, which is found in like everything, so i was poisening myself for years. The reason doctors didnt know is because it is very hard to detect that allergy, they would actually have to like monitor your digestive system while you ate glutin. The disease is called celiacs. Im not saying you for sure have it, but its worth it to give up gluten for a few days just to see if you feel better. Hope this helps. Lauren

First you have to get medically examined, and after many tests ruled out anything else, in my case doc told me I had IBS. It is continuing random attacks including dirrehea, pain abdomen ,and lower back, nausea, dizzy, shaking and extreme hot skin .
The only thing that lessons amount of attacks is the fodmap diet, and Probiotics, bentyl, buscopan, lax a day, gasx, gravol. Also even tho fodmap says Egg and soy are ok for me personally they are not, so you may find some things for yourself are not ok.
Other meds can also make attacks worse ie halls is no good but vicks is ok.
It's a major PIA to search every flipping ingredient on every bit of food you wish to buy/consume, but this unfortunately has to be done. But here I am years into this illness, and grabbed some chocolate at store ,without reading label only to bring on another awful attack due to honey/pistachio ingreds just last night :(
The attacks can also be random, and mine are much worse with ovulation.
It's taken me a few years to adjust to it and much research, and trying different meds but eventually the attacks became less frequently. Unfortunately that is all you can hope for, there isn't any surgical option..it really really sucks.
