I plan to start taking the pill on the first day of my next period. They usually last five days. Will starting the pill at the same time affect the length of my period?
I found that both times I started a new pill, the period was a little long.
When I took my first ever pill, Ovranette, (first ever pill on day 1 of period) my period lasted almost 12 days, it was normal heavy bleeding for the first 5 days (as per usual) - then the next week was brownish spotting.
When I switched pills six months later, and began my second pill, Ovysmen, the first withdrawal bleed lasted 9 days, (I was used to the pill so i suspect thats why it was shorter than before)
of course, all women react differently, breakthrough bleeding is very common on people just beginning the pill though!
