Hi, I am having a tubal ligation and the novasure procedure done on the 31st of aug. and i usually have horrible cramps. Just wondering just how painful this is gonna be ? and has anyone else had this procedure done?

I had the procedure in April of 2011 along with a tubal and D&C. My pains wern't all that bad till 2 weeks after. I started to have lower back pains and "period" cramping. Fast forward a year and now im in the most horrible pain I can be in. It feels like im in labor with the pains going from my uterus into my lower back,down both groins into my upper legs. I hadn't had a period in well over a year after this procedure but now I wish I would of stuck it out and not had this done to me. A friend of mine had to have a hysterectomy done New Year eve Day of this year due to complications. Different people have a different tollerence to the pains but in my personal opinion it's not worth it and im going to probably have to have another surgery to correct this horrid pains.

Thanks for the input! However, everyone is different, and I dont think it is normal for you to be hurting that way. If I where you I would see a dr. asap! My dr. told me that I should be free of periods, free of pain , and all that with in no later that 3 mnths. Im so sorry you are having such a horrible time with this right now, I know the pain has to be unbarable! I plan on still going on with this procedure b/c like I said everyone is different and my dr. seems to think the benefits will outweigh the risk!
