I'm a 32 year old male and have only recently experienced something similar to this, frighteningly intensely twice during sex and only slightly three or four times in the past four months both during sex and during masturbation. There seems to be no correlation between the intensity of the sex and the intensity of the sensation. It seems to happen primarily, if not exclusively when I'm on my back.

It is not a pleasant feeling - something more akin to having a stroke. Tingling beginning in the finger tips, lips and spreading across my whole body. Numbness in my neck and shoulders. I lose my erection at this point - I don't know if this is from anxiety brought on by the sensation, or is a direct symptom. If this happens, you're probably just moaning too much and are slightly hyperventilating and momentarily losing oxygen to your body; which is especially crucial when all your blood is flowing down in to your sexual regions. Just try breathing normally for a few minutes, and you'll be totally fine.
