Has anyone that has been on the Nuvaring had to have a Leep procedure done? I am wondering whether I should take it out completely for one month, get on bc pills (but i don't want to mess up my cycle since the NuvaRing regulated it) or if I am able to put it back in after the procedure.
yes, you can wear the nuva ring and get the leep done. i had a leep recently and my md left it in for the entire procedure. now, i need to take it out and, in a week replace it, i'm just scared it may touch the scar tissue and make it bleed? hope this was helpful!!!

I just had LEEP done and had my Nuva ring in the whole time. My doctor even commented about how well I put it in haha. However a week or two after the procedure I was supposed to take it out and get my period but my doctor was going to have to see me in a few days so I skipped my period (I go to school far away from where I get my healthcare so it is difficult). Right before I put the new one in, it started to pop out every once in a while. I tried putting the new one in it see if it would make a difference. It did not, this new one now slips out from time to time and it is very annoying. I am sure I am putting it in right, it just won't stay. I am not sure if it is because my body is healing so it is rejecting the ring or if it is because now my cervical muscles can't hold it in properly. I am hoping after my next period it goes back to normal. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi, I just had a leep and my doctor said it was fine to put the Nuvaring back in a couple days after (as I was scheduled to). It was uncomfortable but it stayed in for a few days and now it just keeps slipping out! It's also not comfortable and I'm worried that something is wrong. Anyone have any tips?

Yes. Same thing happened to me. I used nuvaring for years. Never a problem. After my leep procedure I can not get the ring to stay in place. I gave up after two months and am using the pill again.

I just replaced my ring today after a leep procedure almost 2 weeks ago. No pain when putting it in. Hopefully it stays in! The only thing I can think is normally the cervix protrudes into the vagina alittle, which I am sure helps hold the ring in place. With the leep the top layer is removed. I have seen some where not as much tissue is removed & some where there is quite a bit taken off. (Im a nurse) Maybe this is why it's falling out now?
