my girlfriend was talking to me and she broke down into telling me how her parents mostly her dad calls her fat,ugly and takes his anger out on her by grounding or punishment.she made me promise not to tell anyone .........what should i do?

Well the best thing to do is at least comfort her and make her feel good about herself as much as possible. Call her beautiful, pretty, tell her how much she means to you, etc. The littleest things make a big deference. :) Good luck.
