I've been on birth control for a couple months (2, 3?) and up until just this past week or so, i've been taking my pills regularly. I don't have regular sex, since I've been on the pill I've only seen my boyfriend for 3 days since I just started going to school out of the city. Though, when I did visit him we took advantage of it.
Last week I got a new job that sort of interrupted my pill schedule, so I missed a day and one or two days I took at the entirely wrong time (~12 hrs off). I've fixed it since then but now I'm having some weird side-effects. A couple days ago I was bleeding heavy enough to wear a tampon and have to change it through the day, and now I'm having some dark brown discharge. It's not burning or itching or anything, but it is making me worry. especially since next week my boyfriend is supposed to be visiting me for a week, and I don't want him thinking the worst.
A friend of mine said it was probably just an infection and would clear up on it's own, but then another one said that's what happens when you get pregnant on the pill.
I'm super worried about this cause bringing up "hey i'm 17 and pregnant" to my devout catholic immigrant parents wouldn't be the best conversation I could ever have.

ok, I have just started yaz about 3 weeks ago..I have been trying to take the pill at the same time every day but have been doing very bad with it..sometimes I have to take 2 in a day to make up which i know isn't how itis supposed to be done..I am also having this pink discharge, it is not painful and doesn't really have an odor but it makes me worry...I know that I am not pregnancy because I haven't had sex in about 5 months..But for your case, I would def. take an at home pregnancy test just to make sure..Maybe it is something to do with the yaz possibly...please help!
