Hi, I know it's been a while since anything was posted here and and you might not even read this now, but i was wondering if you managed to find out what was wrong? In 2007 my partner suffered from sharp pains in his abdomen, constant retching but hardly any sickness, a high temp, dizzyness, and exhaustion. I Assumed it was his appendicts and when I took him to the hopsital they advised they would do an appendectemy in the morning. He spent several hours in Surgery and when we went to visit it him it turned out he had DIVERTITICULOSIS, which had caused a perforation in his colon. This led to him having borderline scepticima and had we left it any longer he could have had blood poisoning. He had part of his colon removed as well as his appendicts and the pain & retching dissapeared for a while. He was then diagnosed with a Gas Reflux( I can't remember exactly what it was called), which basically meant his gullet did not work properly, and he had to have it stretched round his stomach. He still suffers from bouts of really bad abdominal pain but we have been advised this is a side effect from his operations and he may always have this, due to build ups of gas.
Hope this helps.........

Have you had your thyroids checked, you would not believe what symptoms i had, alot sound like yours, drinking a soft drink made me go straight to bathroom, but before all that happened you could hear it going through intestines like water then, I called it a blowout, could hardly make it to the bathroom. dizziness from blood pressure, no energy from thyroid level being low, back ache, swelling, you name it I had it. Most people don't even realize what your thyroid level will do to your body have your doctor run blood test on them and make sure, if she will not it is time to find a new doctor.

I guess we are all crazy together... I've been doing this for over 6 years and still don't have an answer. Same symptoms... and they do try to make you think that you are making it all up! I'm not making up the fact that I can't eat without getting sick! I eat enough to stay alive so I don't pay for the big meal... and believe me I like to eat. It is a miserable life when your sick all the time and the doctors don't seem to care!

I hope you have found some relief. I have the exact same problems you are describing. I had my gall bladder out last year in April and since then have had chronic diarrhea and right side pain. I am scheduled for CT scan next week and colonoscopy next week. I wonder if you ever found any relief as I am wondering what I can do.

This certainly sounds like Crohn's disease to me...it took me several years (and many drs) for them to realize that is what was causing my problems (which are very similar to yours). It also sounds like this may be located in the ileum, so a colonoscopy with biopsy may be necessary to diagnose this disease. Good luck!

Hi,
I just read your post and I have been going through the same thing since the removal of my gallbladder in 2003. When it was removed it was healthy the doctor shrugged and said I don't know. Well I do know. I Have UC Ulcerative Colitis. I took hold of my Healthcare and said enough when he shrugged. I would get pain in my right side and within 3 days all hell would break loose literally. I could get pain relief by laying on that side. But when I began to bleed I demanded that I get appropriate testing to find out why. The Gastrointerologist did a colonopy which is unpleasant but in reality saved my life. He was shocked at what he saw, ulcers covering the Transverse colon bend. Located on the right side near the liver, (Gallbladder symptoms) The UC was so bad surgery was performed immediately, I was given a 50% chance of recovering fully with intact bowl. Things have gone great, I'm now a Vegan, I stay away from everything made by people. No meats at all, no dairy, no eggs. Vegetables are my number one source of Nutrition and I feel awesome. Please take control and make an appointment with a Gastroenterology clinic, stop letting the doctors guess or brush off symptoms that can lead to death.
