Hi I'm new here. I have pain in right side. A little across from belly button and sometimes lower abdomial. I recently started selling tickets for a charity walking many miles a day door to door and the countryside.. dropping my id card and stepping over fences there not that high but I'm only 4 foot 11with short legs. I've been to the doctor 2 weeks ago he gave me buscopan and check a urine sample all fine. Please any ideas I would be awful greatful. It helps when I rub it and take melfen pain killers or put a cream rub on it called bio freeze.. its cold..

What side is your pain on, right or left? Does it come or go, or is a constant pain? Does it get better with a bowel movement? Does anything make it better, such as heat or cold, or sitting or standing, full or empty stomach? Does anything make it worse?
How long has this been happeing already? Maybe schedule another doctors appointmnt and ask for a referral for a gastroenterologist specialist to put your fears at rest.

Pain is on the right. Yes it comes and goes. The cold makes it better and just rubbing it..I have this discomfort 2 weeks yesterday.. thanks lizard queen for answering. I am still walking selling tickets etc.. I don't wake at night with the pain either
You should get checked again, the apendix is on the right side. It doesn't sound like that is that but better to check than to not. I've had abdominal pain now for over 2 months and my gastro doctor is doing a colonoscopy in Aug which will have been booked 5 months prior so it's not too urgent for him. Ask your doctor for either an ultrasound or an xray to see if there is any swelling anywhere.
Hi lizard queen its excessive gas I have pain goes away after i pass a lot of wind just wondering what I can take for it.. but ibs is not ruled out..
Excessive gas is a symptom of something underlying. I know - I have Celiac disease. It might be as simple as a diet change (gluten free) or a digestive enzyme that could help you but without knowing the exact cause it's difficult to say what to do. How are your bowel movements?
There o.k I might go today and then not for 2 days sometimes not often constipated other times a little soft or very soft. No change in proper color. Lizard queen its not the discomfort that bothers me. Its that I'm so scared. I also suffer costochondritis for 14 years now. Thanks for replying to me.
Hi lizard lady I phoned the chemist today the man there is a qualified doctor he said it sounds like a bacterial infection in the stomach or a something hernia. Both he said would be treated with antibiotics. So I have to go back to the doctor.

Hi lizard queen went to the doctor at 11.30 am today. He listen to me and answered all my questions. I had an awful lot of test done. All I have is terrible pulled abdominal muscle. Thank god. I'm on pain killers and there actually helping. Thanks for been there for me when I was so scared I'll never forget that. Martina.
Probably from all your walking and carrying heavy loads of stuff around at the same time, just be careful when carrying the stuff.
