I was wondering if anyone has had this problem too.
I gave birth 9 days ago and I'm having trouble eating. When I swallow my food it hurts going down my esophagus. It doesn't hurt near my throat, and it doesn't feel sore. It hurts in the middle of my chest going down. I tried taking very small bites of food and it still happens.
Is this related to the pregnancy and all the pushing?
Any input would be great thanks :)

Hi, i hope you get better soon and congrats on your birth. As for the pain that you feel when you swallow i think it might be related to you having a baby. I mean, all of your organs and muscles shifted and you experienced a great pain so it might take couple of weeks for you to get back to normal. Another thing, you said it hurts no matter how big the bites of food are. Maybe you can try eating some ice cream, if you like it of course. Ice cream is cold, sweet and wont cause irritation, plus it might numb the pain a little. Other thing i would do is make myself shakes in blender with bananas, ice cream , cookies; basicaly put everything that you like into a liquid form. Hope this helps.
