I have the same problem. Look up hidrentitis. It's a medical condition. I had no idea what it was. Actually had cysts that got infected and I had to have surgery on those areas. It's not fun. Educate your self.

The word you're looking for is "dormant" and way to FoxNews this problem. It is more likely Hidradenitis suppurativa, as mentioned above. I don't understand why people have to light a scare fire over EVERYTHING. And if you ^^^ have herpes, I am sorry, but NOT everybody with a cyst in that area DOES.
Hidradenitis suppurativa is hereditary. MANY people have the problem, but really who wants to talk about a cyst in the groin area?
Look it up and try some of the remedies suggested.

The last time I had large cysts in my groin, my doctor told me to stop wearing jeans. They disappeared and that was several years ago. Recently I bought a pair of blue jeans and within ages weeks of wearing, large cysts have reappeared again. I believe it is the blue synthetic indigo dye in the garment that irritates the skin where there is rubbing close contact.

It could be just the heavy fabric of the jeans specially if there tight chafing the area causing it.

I have had the same problem for 20 years. I recently started applying a bit of OTC anti fungal cream, at least twice a day, as soon as I notice one coming. No more large, painful cyst. Please give it a try.

I have a recurring lump in my groin area! It's always the same place, it's never truly gone but sometimes it's so painful wearing anything irritates it! I've had antibiotics etc n it didn't make a difference. It gets bigger n more painful or shrinks n doesn't hurt but never truly goes away! What should I do xx

I don't know how to stop getting them, but try a bread and milk poultice..it drains them really fast and brings them to a head quicker too..just mix a tiny bit of milk with a pinch of white bread and form a paste. The hard part is getting it to stay put..u figure that out..lol Good luck..

Super please to read what you have written. Mine will get quarter sized knots inside and outside skin, and the ones I've popped; which sometimes hurts unbearably bad, have left those same bruise type scars but have never wanted to ask my dr about it. Will definitely do so now. Thanks. :)

I do believe this is what I have. Pretty chronic and have been to so many doctors who write it off as ingrown hairs. Anabiotic's or H wash nothing has helped or worked
