I have the same exact thing you did. I waited for over a few months and got to the point, i couldnt sit, stand, or walk. I went to the doctor, they gave me antibiotics, they didnt work, i went back, and they drained the fluid out of it and from around it. Mine is still bothering me exactly a year and a week later, i went to the doctor last week, and they have to do surgery on me. So if i were you i would go to the doctor

I am currently experiencing the same thing. At first I thought it was an ingrown hair at the top of my buttox, right between the cheeks (kind of on my tailbone). I had one before, but it was small, and drained quickly. This one has gotten to be the size of a quarter (or larger), is perfectly round, more on my right cheek, and hurts ALL THE TIME. It's finally gotten so bad that I can barely move. I've been too embarrassed to go to the doctor about it, but now I'm desperate to get rid of it. It's somewhat purplish, extremely inflamed, and hurts no matter what I do. Would it still be considered a cyst? Or is it something else entirely? I'm so tired from not being able to sleep. Please help!

I'm going to have to go back to the doctor. I'm on my third one. First time my whole left butt cheek swelled. It seemed like it was sitting on a nerve cuzz it was soooo painful. The doctor lanced it. I thought I was going to die. Lol. He said it was because I wasn't taking my diabetic meds. ??. Well I'm on my meds now n have been. These things seem to keep in a straight line like their feeding off a vein or something. Third one now. Wondering if they will take my left butt cheek. I don't have much butt.

I have the same problem as u do and the cysts is about 2 inches in size and the doctor advised me to have an operation to have it removed and so I did. I would advise you to do the same. Have an operation and remove it completely.

Not only is the antibiotics a good idea, but sitting on a heating pad to "soften the head" on the abcess is a wonderful idea. DO that for about 20 minutes several times a day and that should help. However, you may not find total relief until the cyst is surgically removed.

i have received three cyst on my buttocks in the last two months. I had the first one cut open and drained it was the worst pain every from then on i made sure to visit the dr as soon as i saw one appear. im still not sure where they are coming from because ive never gotten them before now. i was put on antibiotics for the next two and that helped. also warm compress or soaking in Epson salt helps as well. but if its big enough that you cannot sit down it may need to be drained and id deff go to the doctor asap

What you are describing is a pilonidal cyst. There are various kinds but they can be reacurring and painful. You really should see a doctor. I had to have surgery for mine because I couldn't sit without pain.
