So, I've seen Paula Begoun's recommending this oil cleansing method. Apparently it's good for both oily and acne prone skin and it involves cleansing your face using a mixture of different oils. Of course, this is mostly counterintuitive for those of us who like our Cetaphil, LOL. My simple and honest question is, excuse the wording yeah, is this oil cleansing method basically totally wack? Will it give you more acne and oilier skin in the long run? Is there any actual scientific evidence that this works? I'm kinda open minded so don't take this as an attack on the method, I'm just curious.

Wow, those are some really interesting replies! It's actually quite difficult to get a good overview of the oil cleansing method and whether it will work for your skin or not. I'm curious and kinda icked out at the same time. It's so very different than what I am doing at the moment and I am scared of ruining my skin, but also like I said weirdly intrigued. So my question is what would you recommend for beginners to this method, where can they read up on how to do it properly and what oils to use?
