i have been on paxil for 20 years and when i get below 10mg i show symptoms of electric shock, vertigo, flashes of light, etc. any sggestions?
I took Paxil for 3 years, when I ran out I decided to stop taking it all together...big mistake. I hate to say i'm happy to hear someone else mention the "electric shock" but that is a perfect description!! I actually could not stand up straight, felt what I called brain misfires,terrible diarrhea, vomiting and extreme restlessness. It took about a week, but by the end of the weekend i certainly was not going back!! It took about a full week for all the symptoms to go away and I feel I am certainly better off. I did chuckle everytime I saw the Paxil commercial that said to withdrawl effects...what a joke. Hang in there, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I could be there to hold your hand as my prayers will be with you!!
