12 years old and only had my period 9 times. This time I had spotting instead of my period, is this okay?
It is normal to spot in your first year or so of puberty, for some people spotting occcurs regularly, but it can be signs of a problem if you have been sexually active. Spotting can be an indicator for pregnancy or STDs. However, given your age and the fact you've had only 9 periods, I would say this is probably a normal part of your body changing. If it continues over a long amount of time, or if you find it uncomfortable and inconvenient to deal with, I would speak to your mum and ask her to go to the doctor for advice, or if you're uncomfortable, just visit the clinic alone, they should be able to help you controll it. Most of all try not to worry about it, it's probably a one off and stress can cause your body to change it's usual cycle too.
