I have not had my period for roughly 10-11 weeks after getting the implanon into my arm, is it safe to not have the uterus not lining itself? Is it then harder to have children when undecided to get the implanon out?

I am on my second implanon, had it nearly 5 years altogether now and really couldn't be happier with it, I did have spotting and bleeding for nearly 5 weeks after initally getting the implant but since then there hasn't been a single side effect and I've had maybe one regular period a year, asked my doctor about it when getting my second implant and was assured it was completely normal and that everyone reacts differently to it.

I've only had implanon for a couple of months but haven't had my period since insertion. Did you find out whether that's normal?

I'm on my second time. First time I spent a year with no period, a year with roughly monthly, and a year of one or two day periods every couple of weeks... The nurse who took it out said to come back and get a new one at 2.5 years next time. You could ask them to change it early?

Same side effects for me. But I did not have it remove. So far, still same side effects. But no mestruation for a year.

You just made things so much more clear for me! Based on what you said about not having periods because of not releasing an egg which leads to not shedding the lining. I'm so glad I came across your response! Lol thank you for using common sense ;) that I wish I would've just put together haha.
