I had impanon coming up on 2 years. I had a regular period from the date I started the implanon, but the last 2 months I have been coming on every 2 weeks...twice. I come on for like 5-7 days go off for like 3-5 days then come right back on for another week. (The second period be my lighter) I not sure what going on. Its been another two weeks and Im back on, and Im quite sure ill be back on following the day that I come off. I think 3 months is more than enough time for me to see a doctor to see what's goin on.

I Got the Implanon November 2011. I had a Miscarriage soon after. Then my Cycle became all kinds of messed up. I actually had a 60 day period! Then the next month, I had 2 10 day periods, and now NOTHING. I'm afraid I may be pregnant again. I'm HOPING it's just me not having a Period, and not pregnancy ): I don't want to go through another Miscarriage. Also, I had the Arm Implant, and not the shot. the 4 year one.

Hi girls, this is my experience: I got the implano almost two years ago. The first 30 days I bleed a little bit, the blood was brownish. I asked my doctor and she said my body was adjusting to the changes. After that, I've never had a menstruation again. Some of the side effects I experience are sore breast (Regularly), and if I have headache they can last until I take a pill. I gained a little weight (was 54 and now 57) but I wasn't esting properly, definitely increased my apetite. I was a really moody person, and now I'm happy most of the time, dont know if a side effect of the bar or just really happy of living with my boyfriend, haha. On the downside, I think it decreased my libido. It takes a while to turn me on, and somedays I don't want nothing at all. My friends tell me I'm a guy with boobs, and it's awesome that i dont bleed. I can go to the beach anytime, wear white without worrying and jump an exercise. I' ll definitely recommend it.

Hi Girls!
Lots of mixed reviews on here about the implant. I have had mine for 3 and a half years now (Had it changed 6 months ago) and I dont have any periods, although had a light spotting recently. However, when I first had it my periods were crazy! I would be on for weeks at a time with a few days rest in between, this lasted for ages so I went on the pill to try and regulate them. This worked for a little while and I stuck at it because I can't take the pill for various reasons (tried every different brand!). I lived in a house of 5 girls, so eventually our periods synced weirdly enough and I became more regular, then they began to get less and less. When it was due to be changed I had a period and then after that I havent had one until recently. I would definitely recommend to girls to stick it out, it took me 3 years to get used to it and everyone is different but its so much more reliable than the pill and less invasive than the coil. Obviously side effects are different with everyone, but it helped me maintain a steady weight although my flawless skin is now a bit oily and I dont have pimples on my forehead. I would rather this though than a baby!
Remember though, it doesn't protect you from sexually transmitted infections! So don't chance this with people you don't know just because you are protected against pregnancy.
