Ok, so my symptoms are similar to some of you guys', but different from others. There is no pain. No hearing loss. I would describe it as a muffled popping sound. I tried plugging the other ear, but it didn't help at all. The popping is minimal during the day. So infrequent, that when it happens, it really gets my attention. I'm like, " My ear is popping again, babe...". But when I lay down at night, it is almost non stop. I assumed it would go away on its own. I don't go to the doctors. I don't have insurance, or money for that. I live in the US, where wealth=health. Anyway... About two weeks ago I was on vacation in the Outer Banks, NC. After swimming in the ocean, I noticed the popping afterward. Maybe the next day. I am curious how many of you went swimming? I am almost positive that it is related, however, my symptoms are not " swimmers ear.". It's been two weeks, and no pain. YET. Doing some research, I find that I could suffer permanent hearing damage. A little f*****g scary.... Not sure what to do

After reading through more of these pages, I tried holding my nose, closing my mouth, and " blowing," as was recommended by someone. I could feel the pressure in my problem ear. And it has only been a few minutes, but damn if it ain't gone! I will update in a day or so to see if it's a permanent fix.

I have had Tinitis for over 30 years. It doesn’t have a clicking sound, but more like hissing, or chains being dragged which never stops.

I've had the same issues with the tapping in my ears for almost a year now, it's always one ear or the other never at the same time and always when I'm around wifi. After extensive research the only thing I can come up with is that I'm hearing binary code that's being sent out over wifi or however that works. Wish it was as simple as insanity.

Mine is in the left ear for 4 days now and yes it sounds like Morse code. I went to the doctor and she said the ear appears to be clear but give me Flonase. It started after being on the cell phone for about 40 minutes and I usually don't speak on it more than 5 minutes at a time. One day on meds and no relieve yet.
