I had a lap chole(gallbladder removal) done this week. I cannot lie down without severe pain at the junction of my neck and shoulder and have trouble breathing. My surgeon tells me that my diaphram is irritated and the phrenic nerve is causing the pain.
Is this common? What caused it?
I also had multiple abdominal adhesions but have never had any surgery before this procedure.
Could these two things be related?
