For years I suffered from severe itching (with a few bleeding moments not associated with a period) in the vaginal area. The area was dark but matched my slightly fair brown color. I also suffered from abnormal periods. I finally saw a doctor after years of suffering in silence. I tried creams for rash treatment that only provided temporarily relief. I went to the doctor (she is a primary care physician). I was too nervous to have a pap smear and I never had sex. But one look and whiff, she indicated it was bacterial overgrowth. She prescribed me this anti fungal medicine (don't know which kind or brand, they were big pills though) which stopped the itching/pain for good. I thought the issue had cleared up but now I'm itching a bit again and now the area in the vagina has turned white. I'm worried the pigmentation loss may spread I'm set to see a gyno later in January, but what the hell do I have?
