Hello. I am a woman that is 32 years old and I have been suffering from headaches for some time now. I went to see the doctor and after a talk and few tests, he suggested I go and do an MRI scan. And so I did and the scan showed that I have a pineal gland cyst about 5mm in diameter. I am going through with the operation and I don't know what to expect. Any thoughts?
Good luck with the operation. Thank god that it isn't as serious as a cancer. The recovery rate after this kind of operation is very good. It is as any other cyst removal. They pop the cyst and see if it fills again. Sometimes it fills just a little and stays that way until the body absorbs it. Sometimes, naturally it do not, and so another procedure is required. Again, good luck.

I was just diagnosed with an 11 mm "mass" in my pineal gland through a CT-scan. I'm scheduled to get an MRI thursday to see exactly what it is. Should I be concerned? I've been suffering from headaches for years now. I've also had some serious mood changes in the last 6 months. Weight gain is also present, also severe loss of energy. I just sleep all the time. Anyone have any information for me?
