I had my appendix taken out January of this year. Same spot where I had my appendix, I have been feeling pain on the same side. Pain is more noticeable when I stand & walk.

Hey I had mine out about 9 months ago and within 6 moths I put on 6kgs which was extremely out the normal for me! I'm 27 and had been the same size for 5 years. No live style changes, maybe exercising more since I freaked out so much. I also find I fart a lot and tummy has been bloated since which is also not "normal"for my body. Ive been googling it to get answers and it seems a lot of people have a few problems. It sucks! I think we have our appendix for a lot more reasons then scientist say

I am 33. I just had mine taken out, laporoscopically in April, 1 week before Easter. It's been about 4 months now; just over the weekend I have started to feel pain not in the incision areas, but where the appendix was taken out. I feel the pain mainly when I walk, twist a certain way, caugh, laugh or have bowel movements.

I've done some reading and I have read that even after surgery months or years down the line it can turn into what is called, "stump appendicitis", I'm not fully aware really what all this means... inflammation?

Hi
I'm a 49 yo woman. I had my appendix out at 12. I've had this pain and chronic constipation since 3 months after the operation. I've tried every remedy known to man (it seems) and nothing works. My doctor won't even try anything else because I just have worse side effects. Just wondering if anyone actually has had success and if so what was your remedy???

Hi, My 11 year old daughter seems to be suffering from the same condition. Did the supplements work? Would you recommend the doctor?  It's killing me to see my daughter in pain.

Hi I'm seventeen . I had my laparoscopic appendectomy six months before . I am also experiencing similar pains on my right abdomen , three months ago . I went to my surgeon and he said everything was just fine . Then after three months now , again the similar pain came and I went to my gp . He also said that everything's normal and complained my pain was due to my anxiety . Even after several "usg" s , the results came out clear . What could I call it enigmatic pain?????

Am wondering about scar tissue. Had my appendix out at 2:30 in the morning three days after it had ruptured 21 years ago. It was gangrenous and caused sepsis and they could not close incision after surgery because they wanted it to drain freely. I still have tenderness always and pain frequently and think that my body must have made a lot of scar tissue that is choking my guts.....?

My daughter was 7 a year ago when she had a ruptured appendix. She was in critical condition for four month until she had her surgery. Surgery went fine but a month after she started suffering from severe stomache attacks at least once a weak. We took her to doctors , they dont see anything. pediatrician highly believes it may be adhesions.
I dont know, but she is in crazy pain. Sometimes vomits.
Anyways good luck on finding a solution and let me know what you come up with.

Same with me too. All the things you said. My appendix burst, in the hospital a week after surgery, then home with a drainage tube for a week. It’s been 3 months since surgery and the pain only started again like a week ago.

Dear Sunshine, Wicked menstrual cramps are likely endometriosis. The sensitized nerves can cause horrible constant and random pains too. I hope you feel better by now. An excision gyn specialist is who you need to help figure it out. Unfortunately, they are hard to find and often work outside of insurance in US because insurance does not pay for lengthy operations or real expertise.
