Hi, my son ( aged 11) had a appendectomy last year and a week later had kidney stones. He had a stent put in for 3 months and was removed in August last year. For the last month he has been complaining of nausea, pain in abdomen and has a temperature (also complained of pain in his balls) been to A&E, the GP, and insisted we get seen but will take 2 months. He has been off school for 4 weeks now and really suffering. I think it might be an issue with the appendectomy. I feel like people are questioning whether he is making it up or not. Even family! It is truly a problem and although sometimes he seems ok it comes and goes. He has put on weight, feels hungry all the time even though he is nauseous. I'm so frustrated!

I had my appendix out about 6 weeks ago and I'm still sort of in shock. I didn't have pain in the usual place but everything bellow my ribs hurt me. I thought it was gas. My operation was an open one and seemed to go ok although the surgeon said he had some trouble because I have a lot of tissue damage (from Addisons disease). I've since been getter pain in the area where my appendix was. It's like being stabbed with a needle from the skin to the inside. I'm so hoping this goes away.

HI IM EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AND ITS FRUSTATING REALLY BUT IM GETTING MOSTLY PAINS BY MY BELLY BUTTON AND ALSO THE RIGHT LOWER SIDE OF MY TUMMY. SAME PAIN I HAD WHEN I WAS SUBMITTED INTO HOSPITAL FOR MY APPENDIX IT HAS BEEN 6 MONTHS NOW SINCE THE SURGERY TOOK PLACE BUT IM EXPERIENCING SO MUCH PAIN.

I had my appendix out in November. It is now 10 months later and I still get phantom pain. Not as painful as when I was having acute appendicitis symptoms but it comes and goes as twinges of pain. Enough to make me grimace and put pressure on my side but nothing I need meds for. Sounds like this is very common.

I had my appendix removed back at the end of July. Ever since then, I feel nauseous every day, no appetite, headaches and pain in the right abdomen area just like what brought on the surgery in the first place. Had a CT scan and blood work done, everything appears normal. Who else has experienced the same symptoms? The doctor thought it was possibly my gallbladder, but everything appears clear. I want to feel "normal" again.

Hi so I have a theory with the hard intestine causing pain..
If the hard intestine is near the appendix site or scar sites and it comes and goes like anywhere between 2x a day to every 3-4 days I believe it's your scar tissue stretching as your poop is moving through your bowels.
