Had my apt. with the peri. and everything looks normal....so far. It's hard to see much this early on so she wants to see me at 18 weeks. Wish I could get over the hyperemesis, though.

How are things going? Not many posts on here and I have not idea what to expect. I was hoping to learn more as the weeks progressed but that isn't happening.

Hope all is well with you.

Went to the OB today and found out that I now have a complete placenta previa. Did anybody else have this during a pregnancy following an ablation? I know it's somewhat common, but I'd like some more info. Thanks.

Hi I am living in the U.K I have just found out that I am pregnant 7 weeks and 3 days. I had a scan last week and found two pregnancy sacks only one hs a heart beat, they think. I am researching all the pregnancies that have been successful after ablation. I have two little girls already but got divorced after 17 years. I am now with a younger chap and we have been together for 2 years. I had the ablation over 3 years ago now. We were told by a fertility specialist that I had a one in a million chance of getting pregnant as I had too much scar tissue in my womb. I am now really worried but excited all at the same time. i am having so many symptons and feel awful i.e morning sickness, tender breasts, swollen tummy, constipation, heartburn etc. It's awful but someone said the worse you feel the stronger the pregnancy. Any help or information greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am 2 weeks post-partum. The pregnancy progressed unexpectedly well with no complications. The previa finally moved between 29 and 31 weeks but he was always in the breech position and never turned so in the end I had a C-section. Even the delivery posed some risks that never arose.  At 37 weeks and 4 days I had a healthy 7lb 7oz 18 1/2 inch little boy. He is precious, and we love him!

Hi there...I'm so happy to hear that you and your little boy did so well through the pregnancy!!! Such a blessing!! I am in a situation where I would love nothing more than to give my husband a child of his own but I am post ablation (Nov 08). My periods returned about 4-5 months afterwards and have progessively become heavier, had an US done that showed a "normal" non-ablated appearing uterus with a 8mm lining at 10 days. I just pray that it is the Lords will for us to have a child. I have 9 year old twins from my previous and I am so thankful for them but...I selfishly pray to have this chance to carry a child for this wonderful man who so desperately wants a child of his own with me. Another obstacle...I'll be 41 this year...I know my eggs are not young but I am super healthy and take excellent care of myself...hopefully it'll count for something :) Sorry..got a bit long winded there

Congratulations again...you're story is inspiring!!!

Does anyone have any new information to share regarding pregnancy after ablation? I too had one 5 years ago. Regular menses has restarted in the past year. I would like another baby. Fertility doctor told us the only I option would be a carrier. I am skeptical after reading many posts to the contrary. I will travel anywhere. I just need a doctor familiar with my medical condition to do more than look at my chart and give an evaluation.

I'm sorry I don't have any clinical info for you. I did not try to conceive, it just happened! I was less than a year and a half post ablation when we got the surprise! My periods were nearly non-existent. I would consider the fact that you could conceive again with the return of your cycle. I would think that it will come with challenges as the egg would have to find the perfect place where the lining has re-grown or you could possibly run the risk of having an implantation on the uterine wall, which comes with many risks....but still possible. If that is what you really want than I say go for it! Pregnancy post ablation is much more common than the statistics would have us believe!

My son is now 2 years old. He is quite the character and has us laughing everyday! A far cry from the "100% chance of miscarriage" that we were told would happen. I'm so glad I chose not to follow the advice of my doctor and terminate the pregnancy! Don't get me wrong, my doctor is wonderful, she was just ignorant! I think we educated her a bit!

Good luck!

At 5 weeks you will most likely not see a heart beat this is why physicians request you're at least 8 weeks along. They should monitor your HCg levels and repeat the scan.

So you had your tubes tied and a ablation? Did you have the baby ?

I am 37 yrs. old, I had an ablation 7 years ago, no periods since and have never been pregnant. My breastfeeding have tender for the last 2 weeks, I am exhausted and have periods of nausea. How can you tell if your pregnant? I don't want to over react and call my GYN. What symptoms did any of you have that tipped you off?
