hi, im 24 years old and im 4weeks pregnant with my first child. im VERY scared... i am on 60mgz of methadone and have been for a little under 2 months now... i was wondering what exactly are going to be the affects on my child!?

You should have a happy healthy baby so long as you continue with methadone treatment, stay off illicit drugs and stay active and eat healthy. Your chances of having things go wrong are the same as any other pregnant womans if you do this.
Your baby MAY have withdrawal after he or she is born, but it will be treated so they barely feel it, they will never remember it (remember, they can't remember getting circumsized, and that is REAL trauma-lol!) and having a healthy, momma for the rest of their lives (your chances of overdosing or relapsing if you come off methadone is abysmal) is far more important than the possibility of living thru treated withdrawal for a few weeks!
And please remember and tell anyone who has the gall to tell you otherwise, that coming off methadone NOW puts your pregnancy and your baby at risk of miscarriage and stillbirth.
