You are on the right track my friend. When you finally let go of any hope of making it go away or anger and resentment for it being there and just get back to living your life, then, you are cured.

Let me reiterate that people should really get this checked out by a neurologist. There are treatments that can help. If an errant artery or vein is compressing a nerve, then surgical decompression surgery can help. If you have cervical stenosis, it can cause facial pain via compression of a nerve plexus and surgery or physical therapy could help. If you have multiple sclerosis, you will want to use disease modifying drugs to limit brain damage. If you have issues with neck pain / neck spasms in addition to facial pain/stiffness, it can be a result of neck muscle issues which can be amenable to physical therapy and posture changes.
My point is that there are positive steps that can be taken to address the issue but people need to take charge of their health and explore what the possible issues are. I can't guarantee that you will find an answer or like the answer that you get. If you check it out, you will at least have a chance to know the truth and/or fix it.

I have become aware of these previously subconscious sensations in 2014.
Since then I practice honoring the sensations and staying present to my life (meditation) at least 1 hour per day.
The sensations are reduced. 60% less painful, 80% less frequent attacks.
Also, I’m a better person.
