This didn't work for me!! Though I do believe at the end of the day when it's getting worse that it should be clear "go to bed" and it takes time though when I fall asleep. I'm good and wake up fine till it starts again. Mine is like in my cheeks , jaw up through the back of my head. I'm sure mines worse from a molar extraction. I'm sure because got it done 8 days ago and it's absurd pressure in my head since day 3... and it starts with lifting or getting stressed.. like all the stress is in my head... use to only happen from bending down(where my head is low) Now it's like I bend down and when i get up my head stays with the weird pressure.. so if I'm quite relaxed lazy and Bearly talk.. I'm okay! Got 3 kids so fat chance... agh god help us all!!!

NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL!!! These doctors do people a big disservice by making every one thing they are hypochondriacs! They are not wanting to do their job is all....ask your dr about trigeminal neuralgia...or a pinched nerve at least....jeez..... psychological.... should be a crime to tell suffering people something like that.

I've had this for over 10 years now. Feels like I can feel blood pulsing through my forehead. Has anyone found an answer, or treatment?

This has been 7 years of hell ...I have this sensation that comes and goes in my face and head . It's like numbness that starts with tension in my neck going up and just behind my ear and slowly it makes its way up into the right side of my face across the forehead and into my check and side of nose . I also get numb spots on my scalp. I find with over use of my right arm or eating anything that requires a lot of chewing triggers it as well as lack of sleep & stress. I have seen every specialist under the sun and have had extensive test and scans done . No one can seem to pin point the trigger if my issues.

Now if you want my unprofessional opinion I have this to say , I have thoracic outlet syndrome which is pinching off of your veins and arteries in the armpit to clavicle region. When I use my arm for anything repetitive the tension begins. From there my neck muscles scalene and traps become tense and put pressure on my trigeminal nerve ( facial nerve ) which causes the numb sensation. I also get twitching of muscles in my head and face random stabbing and shooting pain and the list goes on . Sometimes my arms feel heavy as well as my head.

I have tried a number of treatments and have found this ... moist heat helps Physio only helps when it's traction of the neck and acupuncture only helps while the needles are in . A chiropractor helps but also creates other weird sensations arise.

I get regular b-12 shots . I was severely deficient in b-12 and vitamin d . I have had guesses thrown around like Barre Lieou syndrome , Lyme disease, thoracic outlet, chronic fatigue, trigeminal neuralgia, and the cop out of I think you have a combination of a couple things going on here ... ugh what a defeated feeling this gives me. Over the counter meds don't help . The only thing in pill form that has helped me is cyclobenzaprine. I believe it is a nerve blocker and a muscle relaxer which is only to be used for 6-8 weeks max. I was in it for 2 years under supervision but I did have a miscarriage in that time .

Any thoughts or input would be helpful at this point ...

Hi it may be TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA. SEE A NEUROLOGIST. THEY WILL DO A MRI OF THE TRIGEMINAL NERVE ITSELF. SOUNDS LIKE THE SYMPTOMS. UCSD IS WHERE I WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSED AFTER SEEING MANY DOCTORS. HOPE THIS HELPS
