I've been married now for 9 years, and having sex wasn't a problem up unitl the last few years of our marriage. I have trouble keeping an erection, even before this my erections were never what I would call "Rock Hard". Been to my family Doctor he's tried me on two ED type meds Viagra, and another I can't remember the name I think it starts with a C. any ways, I found even with these I still wasn't very hard. Is there a posibility that I may have some sort of blockage, and is there a way to find out? this is very frustrating concidering I"m only 44, should be able to stay aroused for more then a few minutes. We can be in the midst of the excitment and, I go limp.......Frustrating!!!!!!!Is there something I can talk to my Doctor about?

Hi thanks for the reply, Yes its Cialis, and like I said so far its about the same responce as the viagra. My Family doctor did make me an appointment with a Urologist, who did an ultrasound on me, checked my testicles, and he said he saw nothing on the ultrasound that should be bothering me. However he did say on one of my balls there was a growth and asked me if I have ever noticed it before. I said no, because I haven't. I have not heard anything back from him or my family Doctor since then. I'm not on any blodd pressure meds, I am taking something for my cholesterol(spelling) Crestor 20 mg's at bed time. But I've only strarted those within the last couple of years.
I will ask about this doppler you were refering to, as well maybe that will have an answer.......I waited til after I was married to have sex, wasn't active like other friends......looked forward to the day of being able to have a wife, and make a family. Family came ready made....but I still love my wife dearly, and this isn't good for us either.

I don't know of any side effects of Crestor such as you are describing. That doesn't mean it's not possible. It may be possible that there is a correlation between the two.

Hi again, so Ihave an appointment with my Dr. asked his aid to make a note for him to make an appointment for me to see the urologist, so I want to get this stright, its called a"doppler?" ultrsound, and it measure blood flow, right? Do you ahve abnoy other ideas I could take there.

It's doppler ultrasound or doppler sonography. Since we're basically talking about the mechanics of erection, without any known trauma, it can check both the arteries and veins supporting erection.
I can't say for sure that it is indicated in this case. Your urologist needs to make that determination.

Just a quick up date, went to see my family Doctor last Monday, and spoke with him about my concerns. I have an appointment with the urologist at the end of the this month. I Told my Doctor about how I"m finding that none of those ED drrugs are helping, I asked him am I expecting to much from them. I told him how I find they didn't get me to stay very hard at all. I even asked him if maybe its just an age thing. He asured me that I'm no that old for this to be happening to, sincew your only 44, okay your a little over weight, and were working on getting that down. I also had a male hormone test done as well, started that treatment just recently. So here's hope that it works. just tired f this happening to me is a little bit of an understatment least to say.
I do have one question for you, "Would getting hit the balls have something to do with this?" reason I ask, when I was in school I used to get bullied alot, and the bigger guys would always aim for the privates area and make direct contact. some times I would be sore for days.

Okay I'm baack from visitng the urologist this mornin', I have to report back to him tomorrow mornin' again to do another flow test. He did a ultrasound again on my bladder area this time and he reported that I'm not draining enough he said that theres a posibility that my prostatic urethra isn't allowing me to competely drain my bladder. so he wants me to keepa measurement of the amount of urine, and times I go.
When I see him I'm gonna ask him about the errection thing as well.
