Hi, a seroma is a pocket of clear serous fluid. It can sometimes develop in the body after surgery. If small blood vessels are ruptured, blood plasma can seep out. Also inflammation caused by dying injured cells also can additionally contribute to the fluid. Seromas, opponent to hematomas, contain white blood cells.
