Gluten and Neurological diseases
Hi Guys - here to help!
I too have experienced and still do occasionally experience these problems and have given up with doctors to a degree. I discovered when i took myself off to India for 2 months to study yoga intensively that this essentially (overtime with hardwork!) fixed all my ailments, and also changing my diet (my diet out there was naturally gluten-free, which I only realized upon returning home and getting sick again).. whether or not you want to try yoga (and i mean doing it 3 times a week and find a class that really challenges you - not one where you are lying about on the floor for hours) then have a go.
But additionally to this Ive found diet has a MASSIVE impact my pain / twitches / breathlessness. Avoid sugar at all costs, and i would also certainly say if you are suffering with these symptom HAVE A GO at avoiding gluten for at least a week (if you can, cut it out entirely forever). There have been recent papers produced showing the link between gluten and lots of neurological symptoms and psychological symptom - and a coeliac test WONT tell you if you are susceptible to it in this way.

maybe ask your doctor about this possibility - BUT as I say and as is stated in this article i think, a coeliac test wont always pick it up, as it is looking for specific protein markers and i know they are looking at using other new protein markers for different types of sensitivities to gluten.
If you are at the end of your tether - please have a go and try to help yourself where the doctors cannot find a cause. if it makes you feel better - then its fantastic, if it doesn't you've not lost anything. My first suggestion would be to spend 3 days on a mono-diet (it is basically like fasting, but easier as you get to eat).
This is from an indian medicine book and i did it for 7 days and all my sypmtoms went away (including lethargy and brain fog).
Kichadi
1 cup of rice 1 cup of YELLOW mung beans 1 tablespoon of Ghee 1 teaspoon of cumin seed 1 teaspoon of mustard seed (brown or black) 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 1/2 teaspoon of salt (if you dont have all the spices dont worry - the main thing is just cooking up the rice and mung beans (also called daal). you can then add spices you want (but if you use a stock cube BE SURE it has no wheat or gluten in - otherwise you defeat the object).
Leave mung beans to soak overnight in water. then in the morning add the cup of rice and salt and 6 cups of water. Boil for 30 mins or more (adding water as necessary). It will become like a thick porridge. Thats your basic kichadi. Heat the ghee in a frying pan and fry the cumin and mustard seeds for about 30 secs until brown tip the ghee mixture in rice/bean mix and stir. sprinkle in the turmeric Thats it - and that is food for your whole day - repeat for 3 day or up to 7 (you can start adding in vegetables after 3 days. Give it a go and see how you feel
please let me know if it helps

I'm sorry for your pain and I am also sorry to say I have been fighting symptoms like these, with more being added for over twenty years!I have seen every kind of doctor and have had countless test run, but to no avail. The ER won't even see me anymore. So I live on pills that barely help and Pray A LOT! Please Hang In there and Best Of Wishes! If You ever find an answer I would love to hear it.

I have the same symptoms but they did not begin until I took a meditation class and only when I meditated. But now it is more often. This started about June 14 or so.

I too am experiencing pusating (with no pain) in my left temple for about 12 days, flu symptoms on and off, and light headedness. It's really odd because, the syptoms witll come and go thruought the day. I went to my primary care, opthamologist and even neurologist and had an MRI done the other day, but docs say everythings normal. Today a tingling sensation from my right shoulder, down my arm and even down my right leg began. I have only experienced this tingling sensation before once or twice, many months ago when I first started meditation/yoga. I dont know if it's physical, psychological or spiritual....maybe a bit of them all.
I must add, I have been having some interesting experiences lately...
Well, it's good to know I am not alone :-)

I have a lot of those same symptoms, Mine first started a year ago with the my hands and feet "feeling" wet though they weren't, like I was steppinng in or touching puddles though everything was in fact dry. Things have progressed and the wet feeling has gone away. Now I have a tightness and tingling in my temples. I'm healthy and wasn't afraid as much as I was curious. I've also had strange occurances happen around me on a daily basis. I went looking for spiritual causes verses medical ones. Look up signs of "awakening" on youtube...that's where I've found the answers that make sense to me. These things didn't start happening until I started meditating also...I think it's part of the "seek and ye shall find" premise. Hope it helps.

I get this, which is caused by a trapped nerve in my spine. Your symptons sound very much like mine but don't worry I would think this has been caused by your accident and nerves have been affected. By all means get it checked to give yourself peace of mind but when this happens and you worry then on comes the panic attacks, anxiety and stress. Take care, am sure all will be well.
