Seems a lot people suffer (as do I) from a pain at the rear of the thigh sometimes going up to the buttocks, especially when sitting (desk, driving etc).
A form of non-medicinal pain relief is as follows:
Lie out flat on your back and with your legs stretched out, put a soft or yoga mat under you.
Bend your right leg up with your heel tucked under your buttock.
Raise your pelvis (and still straight left leg) up as far as it will go but DONT stress.
Hold for a count of 3. Do this 10 times. Now do the same with the other leg.
You should now, or very soon afterwards experience pain relief.
Hope this helps guys. Let me know if it does and we can help others by posting.
I’ve been experiencing this same pain in the left back of my leg running into the buttock. I tried the exercise posted and have found relief! I can barely believe that this simple exercise has relieved the pain! Who knew that lying on my back, pulling my foot as close to the buttock as possible and lifting my pelvis would alleviate this pain. I’m so happy!
