My wife has been dealing with this issue almost 15 years. The skin on on her outside palm" pinky finger side " and towards the inner has been in need of treatment but not sure on how or what.. The condition comes and goes but worsens with the dry winter weather. She has been treatin it with multiple different creams and medications. Some seem to help temporarily and some where pointless..the actual " cancer spot" she calls it, start with a tiny what looks like just a simple dead skin spot or air pocket.usually multiple spots appear simultaneously in the area. After 2 days at most ,those spots seem to literally release all the surrounding skin around them from the hand causing about a 2 inch patch of skin to die. After the skin dries she will cut away opening fresh raw skin " often cracking" and then repeat process... the current treatment is mupirocin ointment 3x daily 5days.. question.. should she peel the dead skin? And any treatments or diagnosis would be greatly appreciated..
