I had ulcerative colitis almost 2 yrs ago. I had the surgery performed and had the bag attached. Nine months later I had the bag removed and the J-Pouch connected. I find I still go to the toilet many times a day. Also at night. Should I be watching my diet more closely? I find I really enjoy a beer in the evening but seems that I become more active after having one.
Your doctor can give you better advice on having a beer and the proper diet. I had my ileostomy reversed after 15 months but I never drank alcohol of any type. Bob
