I had a partial hysterectomy and a bladder sling 3 years ago. I now have painful intercourse, sciatica, and a distended tummy. I am seriously considering an attorney...these doctors have got to STOP ruining women's lives in the name of the almighty sollar...

I had several pelvic surgeries in the past. My last one was in 1988. My last ovary was inbedded in scar tissue from previous surgery. The surgery was over 4 hours because of scar tissue and other problems.I heard that if a women is in the same position for over 3 hours with pelvic surgery it can do damage to the nerves. knee.We need a surgeon or nurse to address this.Well 3 weeks after that surgery I started getting left leg pain and groin, buttocks etc. It is still with me after 25 years. You also could have entrapment like I did following pelvic surgery the illioguinal nerve was trapped. What position? I don't know because they put us to sleep! But I would imagine it's with the legs up and bent at the knee. My daughter is 38 and I told her never to have a hysterectomy unless it's life or death. See a different surgeon for a second opion.

I have the same problem. Mesh inbedded into the bladder and I didn't know it. Doctor removed the middle section. Still have problems. Infections, echoli two or three times. Doctor said if she didn't remove it my bladder was going to stop working. The pressure test showed it was flat lined, no flow.
