Doctors are very much needed and work very hard and are so very intelligent. Saying you hate doctors is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Doctors save lives each and every day. Learn to appreciate them... It takes a special person to do the job they do.

I'm 22 and I am having the same pain right now. I feel this sharp pain in my lower right stomach. almost like a floating ball, cant suck in my tummy because of the pressure i feel.  I had to leave work because i couldn't handle the pain and I also vomit....  I came home took a nap, purposely on my stomach because I thought that would help. Now the pain isn't as sharp but I still feel it. A few years back I got the same thing except I literally had to go to the ER because I couldn't even walk of how bad it hurt and I looked like I was prego of how bloated my tummy got. They did all these  xrays and it turn out I had a cyst they put me on pain killers and said it would go away. Now I'm just afraid its back again & have to go to the ER again :( what can help it till tomorrow?

I am 26 years old. when I was 24 the doctor told me that I have the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome but I was not diagnosed. so all this year I have had really bad periods either my period would last for up to 3 weeks or be really spotty. this was the first time that my stomach was hurting its a shooting pain like my stomach is pulling or being stretched. its been like this for two days. so today I decided to get some tea as soon as I drunk it all my period started but my pain is still there. I am actually pretty scared because my aunt had to get her ovaries taken out because she did not take care of her stomach issues when she had it. my issue is I do not want a pap smear I would like an ultrasound to be able to look at my ovaries myself I pray that I do not have that syndrome but if I do I hope that I did not need anything removed. I have no children but I would like to have some one day

So I've been having the same pain for three days I'm 18 btw and decided yesterday that I should go to the doctor. When I apply pressure to the area it doesn't hurt. I've been eating normally and everything. My doctor said that I have to get blood work and an ultrasound. I got my blood work today and get my ultrasound next Tuesday. I hope it isn't my appendix:'(

Wow I wish I saw this thread earlier. I'm 19 and I've had the same symptoms for the past 9 months. It suddenly popped up and we all rushed to the hospital thinking it was appendicitis, but no one can figure it out. I've had 5 ultrasounds, an xray, a ct scan and no diagnosis! My (unimpressive) gp thinks its a hernia, my university doctor thinks its endometriosis,  my doctor friends think its pcos.

Just saw a gyno today and she told me 3 things. 1- RLQ pain in a woman is generally an intestinal issue. However shes dumbfounded that my experience on the pill 3 months ago messed my periods up so much (the later, the more pain!) 2- endometriosis is only during your period. And the pill I was given was inappropriate to rule this out. 3- pcos always shows up on ultrasounds. But a ruptured cyst would explain the hospital visit and the liquid found in the ct scan. It's ridiculously frustrating.

Did anyone else try the pill? Did you find it helped or messed things up more?

My daughter is 14 and having the same pain. It actually goes down her leg. I have made her an appointment to get checked out. I don't recall having this kind of pain when I was 14 and getting my period. But everyone is different. I will post what they say might be the culprit of the pain.

I am 17 and have been having these pains for about 4 months now right before I get on my period. I am on birth control (which stops your ovulation) so mine isnt ovulation pain. I had a pelvic and stomach ultrasound and my appendix is fine and no cysts. I went to the doctor and got a new kind of birth control. She said it would would help in about 3 months. Maybe you could suggest this?
