Hi

Well I started having sharp pains in my right testicle about 3 weeks and 3 days ago, on a Thursday if I remember correctly. I went to see a doctor on the following Friday and he examined me and told me that nothing looks wrong and it could be groin strain or mild torsion and told me to wear supportive underwear. He said the pain should usually go away after a few weeks. I still have the pains now in my right testicle, but now I seem to have started getting them in my left testicle aswell which has only started happening during the past day or so.

I have checked myself out and I thought I could feel what seemed to be a small bump/lump at the back of my left testicle although sometimes I can feel it and sometimes I can't. Also, my testicles seem rather hard compared to things I have been reading explaining that they should feel firm, mine seem to feel harder than that. I have had no trouble passing water and there has been no blood in my urine or semen.

The pains that I get in my testicles don't last all of the time, and they are not to the point where I can't move or do anything, I can still walk around when I have the pains but it's rather uncomfortable as you would imagine, it generally feels like a sharp pain.

I know I should go back to my doctor, and I would need to see a Urologist, but how would I do this? If the doctor has already checked me once about 2 weeks ago and he says that there still doesn't seem to be anything wrong, could I still ask to go and see a specialist?

Also, I am posting here to get some second opinions from people on what they think it could be?

Thanks for your help.

My husband has the same problem. He was referred to an urologist and he also told him to wear the supportive under ware. . He also said he should masturbate that the pain may be because of not too frequent ejaculations. We're unsure of all these answers since my husband is diabetic as well..
