After a little over 9 years our toaster oven died. So do you think we should replace it with a regular toaster or get another toaster oven?

I rarely use the toaster over.
I use the toaster even less. :)
About the only thing I use the toaster oven for is making garlic bread or sometimes chicken.

toaster oven = what you use when you don't want to heat the oven (and therefore, the entire kitchen) for one piece of fish, or something else similarly small...
get yourself a baking stone for it, and you'll use it a lot more, I'd bet.

I don't have a stone for my regular oven but have always wanted one. I didn't even know you could get 1 for the TO. I may look for that.

In case you are interested, I ended up with a 4 slice toaster that has slots big enough to handle bagels.
