Well, don't feel stupid, I went to the hip specialist today he said they are pretty common and usually benign. He called it a ... lymph-something or other, now I feel stupid for not remembering the name, but mine hurts if you push on It. He looked at it with his sonogram machine, said we could take it out if it bothers me. I'm getting an MRI next week to see if there is anything else going on, cuz I have hip pain inside, but my xrays
look normal, as far as bone goes. But he wasn't too concerned about the lump, he said most people just live with It. But like I said, mine hurts to push on, so I may have it removed. Better to get yours checked out and feel dumb, than to end up being dumb and it being something that should have been looked at early on. Don't be dumb.

How does un-passed stool get into your hip in a perfect oval lump? I'm not being sarcastic, I know all things are possible, but it seems so far fetched? How does it deposit itself there?????

i also had two hernias on both sides and had it repaired by surgery. when i had my hernias i was like 6 so i dont now how it feels but this is an lump or bump and then if i feel it it feels like a tube but its only on my left this time. im only 13 and i dont want to tell my mother

Not lymph nodes ive had swollen lympnodes and those are moveable. This they are describing i also have at times usually in the mornings, and mine gets about 3 in long and very firm not movable lower left abdomen. Mine usually fades away about 15-30 minutes, usually after all the gas is released from mg body after waking up. Not sure on why it swells but ive noticed this makes the swelling go down for me anyways

Each morning I have a mystery lump near my hip bone that has developed overnight. It is painful but recedes during the day only to be there the next morning. What can it be?
