I have a similar condition for about 5 years now. I originally linked it to the fact I handle a computer device at work that is touched by everyone I come into contact with (hundreds per day). Unfortunately that was not the problem since I began cleansing the device with Iso alcohol before use and still got these.

As time went on, I could not find a connection to anything but one .. and for you women that have these blisters this won't help .. semen. It would seem anytime my hand came into contact with my semen, even if I washed thoroughly after sex, these blisters would appear within a week or so. It freaked me out thinking it could be herpes, but upon researching this, I learned that herpes can only be transmitted through direct contact with the herpes virus. Herpes is not transmitted through semen! ... wheewww ... glad that was ruled out.

So, one day when I was in for a routine sinus infection, I asked my clinic practitioner if he would take a look at them. He said right away it was not herpes and said it looked like a fungus to him. Now, I have no idea if its a fungus or the aforementioned Dyshidrosis .. but what he recommended (Lotrimin - specifically) I use to clear it up, works every time. The problem is I'm not anal enough to continue using it for 30 days ... symptoms usually disappear after a week or two, so remembering to use the cream after that is not one I'm good at.

To me, Dyshidrosis looks dead on, but I cannot figure how the semen seems to come into play here ... perhaps and irritant or how it changes the ph of the skin to cause a flare up .. who knows. Help this helps others.

I too have auto immune issues, lupus, psoriasis... my blisters are always on my finger tips and are VERY sensitive to touch, ex using zippers... I thought originally it was a side effect of a topical i use for my psoriasis, but have recently decided that's not it... I'll keep checking here for thoughts/ideas... I'm so very tired of doctors..

I have EXACTLY the same issues others have described here, but I am a non-drinker and non-drug user. It appears that this can be related to moisture, hayfever, allergies, and/or stress conditions. The photos and description of "Dyshidrotic Eczema" are pretty accurate and I plan to see my doctor tomorrow about it.

I have had this for years. It's likely dyshidrotic eczema. i had a pretty sever case years ago and it can be very painful because you get blisters under new skin and it breaks open again. Try putting Tea Tree Oil on it. It helped me. Now I am getting something similar on my wrists but I've never heard of this on the wrist, only the fingers and palms. Best of luck with yours!

Hi, wow now a days, how easy it is to find other people like you. I have same problem after 2 days of regular drinking. I searched some says it can be symptoms of blood sugar and some says it can be Sulfite sensitivity. I am going to get some tests done maybe next week. Don't know. As Sulfite sensitivity is serious condition

I woke up the other day with my wrists both swollen and itching like crazy. Weird thing is I can't find any bite marks. What could this be?
