I smoked weed almost a month ago. Dp/dr happened but I still got those tingly feelings too and it's scary. It usually happens when I think about it. I think about it because it's obsessive and it's obsessive because of anxiety and dp/dr. So far i know it's neurologist and you need to be calm and solid

Hey Kasper Thanks for sharing this, I smoked for over 4 years as-well and I stopped for one month, I was back to normal in one week and stayed that way for the next 2 weeks of the month, on the last week I started to feel high out of the blue, It became suspicious because it only happened after I ate food that my roommate offered me,he is a compulsive smoker and like to see others get high on it, so I decided he was putting it in the food he knew I was eating from him, I really hate feeling high without wanting, its a horrible feeling to have when you are not psychologically prepare for it, its totally physical and it gives me all the nasty effects that everyone speaks of in this stories. but my eyes also burn, I happened to trust the wrong people and that's how I started smoking that c**p, I did like it when I was aware of what I was doing but I detest this feeling without having seek it, it is really horrible and I don't like it, the list can go on and on if I start to explain from nausea to burning eyes and terribly numb ...I can't stand it, it has nothing to do with anything fun or cool, nothing psychological its all physical and disgusting, my roommate claims that I am having a flash back that every one talks about, I don't trust this theory coming from him, cause I confronted him especially because I am sober and fine until I eat any food he gives me. I am paranoid because I get drug tested.

I've been an active marijuana smoker for almost 20 years. I smoke a lot less now than I used to. About once or twice a year I get some and it takes me about a month to go through it. Only recently have I been getting the nerve symptoms that others are talking about. I have had injuries to my spine in three different places. I had surgery on my lower back to correct a herniated disc causing sciatica and I have had whiplash to my neck in two places with no surgery to correct.

In all my years of smoking I have never had this feeling but these last two weeks I have had the delayed sense of touch with numbing sensation. Right now as I type I cannot fully tell where my fingers are. I have been on many medications in the past for my back and nerve pains. I have taken Babapentin, Hydrocodone, Flexoril, Tramadal and a few others here and there. I probably didn't spell those right.

My concern is that I may be having a delayed symptom from medication withdraw that is being exacerbated by the pot. For the last 4 years I have been partialy numb from all the medications that I've been on. So, I've gotten used to it. Now I've basically stopped taking all the other meds. After a month of no meds, I started smoking pot and now I am feeling these symptoms. So there has to be some kind of link.

My story is quite complicated and there could be any number of issues wrong. The only thing my doctor said was to go cold turkey from everything for at least 6 months to see if my body normalizes. But if I do that, then my back pain and sciatica start acting up really bad. So it's either, feel pain all day every day or feel numb all day every day ... Honestly, I kind of prefer the delayed sensation as my back doesn't hurt as much.

Hello i know this is quite old. Please update me on this problem. Did it go away? I smoked and got way too high last week and during the high and the day after, I felt the sensation of repeating delayed sense (like you explained) and had a major major panic attack. since then I have had depersonalization and derealization. Please I need to know if it went away, or what. I hope you are ok now. I will never smoke it again. WHAT A MISTAKE! I am also worried that it brought out an underlying neurological condition in my brain, and i will have to live with it forever. I am very very scared.

Yo, I went through what you went through. It'll go away, you'll be fine. You sent your mind through shock and its going through the changes. It'll go back to normal, You'll be fine. What helped me, was to clear my mind and think about stuff that I want to accomplish in life. It helps to keep your mind off of whatever you're going through, it helped me sleep.

First of all.... to everyone saying "lololol dorks u just got really high that's all!" everyone has different body chemistry and different underlying issues. So smoking is not going to be the same for everyone, and each time smoking is not going to be the same for each person. Grow up.

I came to understand that I was just smoking WAY too much at a time, trying to keep up with my 200+ lb boyfriend who is a heavy smoker. I had one bad experience at a party with some sensory issues, like my hands were moving and my vision was screwed etc etc it was a good time. But it came back to haunt me! I still have sensory issues from time to time, if I smoke too much or if I am really anxious.

The reason doctors either 1. make you do countless tests or 2. shrug it off as anxiety is because 1. most doctors aren't actually very good at their jobs and 2. YES it is anxiety/psychologically related. I had one doctor tell me: "Well it must not be psychological because it is too strange! truth is stranger than fiction!" he then went on to grill me about it I was doing meth... Anyway, didn't go back to him.

What I am saying is that, by my conjecture, we've all had one weird/crazy/bad experience after smoking, and we over-analyzed the sh*t out of it. Why? because it is concerning to not be able to pull something out of your pocket or zip your fly or tell if your skin is plastic or real skin. But at a certain point something happened while we were smoking and rewired a part of our brain. Neural plasticity.

It doesn't bother me most of the time, but 95% of the time, I can tell that my sense of touch does not work the way it used to. Not really a big deal. It is so slight that it doesn't bother me anymore until I smoke too much or get extremely anxious. Why did this happen? Because I happen to be really sensitive to weed. Lol. And I am an extremely anxious person. I've always had strange derealization, anxiety, depression, and mood issues that I'm still coming to terms with. And, seeing as though we all googled our symptoms and frantically stumbled upon this forum, I am probably correct that many of you here are also Very Anxious People.

Like I said, it's just not a big deal to me anymore. If I have another bad attack, it will just be an excuse for me to visit the doctor and get some more benzos. Yes it changed me, but it's not a big deal. I hope you are all finding peace with it and feeling better.

Hey friend, please learn the teachings of Eckhart Tolle. He may be able to solve your problems. It's possible your symptoms are created from a strong belief. You do not need to believe me now, but if you care enough about yourself to try to help your self, at least consider giving a week of your time mostly focusing on learn Eckhart Tolle. Research him and find his free teachings. Good luck.

Hey everyone , Im 20 years old and a female . I have been smoking weed since I was thirteen and smoke weed litereally every night before I fall asleep . About two or three nights ago though my bf and I were passing the joint back and forth and all of the tingling started. At first I was all giggly about it because I was high and somewhat turned on by how it felt but the next morning when I woke up sober I still felt the same way. Its been like three days now and I still feel like I can touch my body and feel it but almost like there is three layers of clothing in between . idk what it is but its kinda driving me nuts :/ I have been drinking water like crazy to try and flush it out if it THC though its not working . Any ideas?

Alright so I'm pretty much your garden variety stoner, and I smoked a couple of days ago and for the first time ever I experienced this delayed sense of touch that everyone here is talking about. Super trippy and unsettling. Then out of the blue today I got the same feeling (completely sober-haven't smoked in over a week) and it hasn't gone away in almost 18 hours. I'm starting to get concerned but I don't really know what to do. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one though! Lemme know if any of you figure out whats going on.

The same thing happened to me for a week. Constant panic attacks though. I drunk a lot of water, ate more, and worked out in order to speed up the time that THC was in my system. I hope that you can control your panic attacks by knowing that you will be back to normal, but I wouldn't smoke anymore. At least not that much. You control your thoughts. You control the panic attacks. Be safe
