After going for a thermogram - the Dr. put me on Lymphomyosot for the lymph system - I do breast massage every day and rub on my compounded hormone cream prescribed by my chiropractor - it all went away and am back to normal - so happy - if you don't know how to do breast massage, I just looked it up on the web & they have directions, do it softly if you are sore.

There is nowhere to have a thermogram around here but I've been on the lookout for finding a place to have one. I have not heard of Lymphomyosot though I've tried several other homeopathics with little success but I do use them extensively for lots of other things. I will DEFINITELY try it ASAP though. I do know how to do the massage...in fact I'm a massage therapist! The trigger point massage has helped quite a bit even in just a few days. Thank you for your response. I'm anxious to try what you've said. I'll post after I have something to report!

The Dr. said to use the whole bottle, 1 pill 3X daily. It took the whole bottle to get relief, don't give up. I bought an extra bottle in reserve, Dr. said I could use as I felt need w/no negative effects. The best to you, hope you will find it helps you too.

Oh my goodness........I have just discovered this blog tonight --- I am 58 and post menopausal - about 5-6 days ago my nipples became so sore - like when I used to get my period as a young girl - wondering what the heck is going on then read all this - I see my gyn next month for a checkup on other issues and guess I will ask him about this. I am on an HRT but have been for almost two years so its not new to my body....what is the thermogram for? I have never written in a blog before so no idea how this is done - my email is

Welcome - I heard about thermography as an alternative to a mammogram. I was all for that - if you would like to read about it just Google - Thermography Center of New Mexico - it will fill you in on the particulars - you could just Google Thermography and get the info. also. Think you will find this interesting.

Though I'm not happy to know others suffer from this I am happy to know I'm not alone. This problem has interfered with so many parts of my life. I can't wait to try the Lymphomyosot so thank you for letting me know it may take a whole bottle to get some relief. I just hope that I do.

Me too. You can go as far as 3 bottles if need be - according to the Drs. office. Just FYI. Hope you were able to find it on the internet.

Hi Im 5 years post menopausal woke up 4 wks ago with nipples like organ stops that are tender I have never had erect nipples like this, anyhow don't know if this could be linked but I started statins 5 days prior to this. I have never taken any hormones and have not put anything on them but interested to know if any of the other ladies are on statins?

Yup...you pegged the feeling! Sometimes I feel like I have a drill bit running through my nipples. I do not take a statin but I know a potential side effect is muscle pain though most doctors will tell you it's not usual. It may be too soon to contribute it to the statin. I am an R.N. & what I tell patients is to stop the statin for a week to see how they feel. In cases where someone has been on one for many years they may need to stay off of it longer to really know. Since it's not like a B/P or heart med. it's not going to cause a problem to stop it for a week or so to see if thats the problem. More than likely it's hormonally related. I did find the Lymphomyosot that Chihuahamom 612 wrote about. I found it on Amazon since my health food store didn't have it. I'm anxious to see if I get results. I've only had it for 2 days so too soon to tell.

I too am wanting to know how it goes - my thermography showed inflammation and Lymphomyosot helps the lymph system to work it out. My Dr. also told me NOT to wear any underwire bras - I would rather go primal, but I did find some sleep ones that fit the bill. When I started the Lymphomyosot, it was probably 3 weeks before I finally started to feel a sharp difference. It didn't hurt when I got up in the morning or walked around with minimal 'bouncing' and I want you to know - there's not much there to bounce!!!

I will take it faithfully in hopes it works for me too! I stopped wearing underwires awhile back because I knew it really aggravated things. I can't stand to go without though...instead I need compression so I wear one of those Genie bras & sometimes even a camisole over it. I have to wear a tight camisole to bed to feel held in. I'm not big either! I just can't wait to feel a change. Some days I swear i could just cut them off & be happy!

I had this problem one time before, when I first started with menopause, and then 2 weeks later after no periods for 4 months, I got a huge, very very severe period.  That was 14 months ago and now I am worried that I may have ovulated again.  HEaring that other 50 something women are having the sore nipples makes me worry less about possibly being pregnant, but it is so strange to one day wake up and have such sore nipples.  I also am less dry vaginally.  Must be something about menopause.  I am hoping someone will get an explanation and better yet, how to make it go away!  I swim and have a difficult time getting into my suit and dealing with the cold.

Have you Googled peri-menopause to see what the possibilities are. I know personally, that after starting to go through menopause, I kept a log to see how many days would be between periods. The periods were different also each time, length ect. The change in hormones really wrack you up when you go through the change - either in or out of. If you have a Dr. you can trust, you might want to be examined just for your peace of mind.

Hi to all my fellow sufferers out there. Very interesting. I too have had sore protuding sensitive nipples for the last couple of weeks. I am 51 and post menopause two years. I have in the month or so started taking very high strength fish oil in liquid form, one teaspoon is evquivalent to 9 high strength capsules. This is the only thing different i have been doing lately. I also had some discomfort the other day as well around I presume my ovaries area...? that dragging drawing feeling when you are about to get your period (but mine never came of course). So strange at this time of life to be having similar symptoms of early pregnancy.... Kay :-)

Hi all, glad to know I am not alone although I seem to be the only one over seventy with this problem. All my life I have had inverted invisible nipples. Such a shock when they suddenly appeared, bit worse is the pain and sensitivity. My doctor prescribed Timotine which puts everything right until I stop rubbing it in and then a week later there they are again. Ouch!! Visiting GP later today to ask for more cream, and as my last breast test was 3 years ago in June will suggest it's time for another test. Hope its not when they are so sore as I could not put up with the pressure the machine needs to work. Good luck fellow sufferers.
