sore throat and cough that won't go away!

freinds, i am having the cough for 1 $ A HALF MONTHS consulted more than 10 doc (ent ayurvedam physician pedie) etc no use at all i had not gone school till now help me............................................................. ............................ my friends

I have had similar symptoms for 3 weeks, finally the sore throat and cough seem like they are going away
What seemed to help is I drank lots of water, like 10-12 glasses a day, in an effort to flush out
my system and thin any mucus (I was always congested), and I also used mucinex fast max once or twice a day along with the 10-12 glasses of water.
I hope you find relief, I know it is really frustrating!

I tried Vicks on my feet. I tried Vicks on my neck with a long sock tied around it at night. I tried aromatherapy using eucalyptus. Nothing has worked.

I think mold may be a contributing factor. I was exposed to cigarettes smoke first giving me irritation then black mold for 3 days after til we discovered it. A round of antibiotics helped at day 7 bit started up day after last dose.

I have had a sore throat and cough for three months now.... I had chest x rays and was given an antibiotic which did nothing.... I have seen a couple of doctors who say it's a virus.... I am tired a lot.... I have no answers for you just sympathy! I wish this whatever it is would leave. I am going to try to use healthy food and supplements like Vitamin C and lots of garlic.... And sleep!

Hello,

I have had the same problem for over a month now. Started with a dry cough for two weeks. Then congestion with cough and runny nose. Very strange, when I eat, the cough and running nose get worse. I tried two weeks of antibiotics - no results. Went to my doctor and he insisted it was allergies and wanted to put me on a inhaler. I have NEVER had allergies or asthma. The mucus I am coughing up and blowing out my nose is sticky and slimy (I know, it sounds gross). I do not know what to do! Started getting extremely tired two weeks into this and it hasn't stopped. I am very healthy, active person. This virus or whatever it is has taken me out for over a month now. I do not have the energy to get up and exercise and it is a struggle to work a full day. Just want to sleep. HELP! Would like to know what this is?! Started drinking silver water to see if that will kill the virus.

I've had this for a month now. I'm on my 2nd round of antibiotics, and they don't seem to be working. Mornings are the worst, coughing up large amounts of light green phlem. The cough is a dry cough, worse when lying down. Throat hurts every time I swallow.

I had these symptoms too. After 20 days of antibiotics still I had this persistent sore throat. I started updating my last will and testament. Finally but gradually the sore throat lessened and finally stopped hurting all together.

I am exactly same. Sore throat, cough, exhausted, no sleep or rest, staying home again today. On the 3rd week of this now Killing me cause im a singer and voice teacher and cant keep up.
