For almost a week, I have been experiencing a sore throat. The pain is only on the right side of my throat and more recently I can feel it in the middle of my throat, but it is tolerable. A lymph node on the same side of my neck seems to be slightly swollen too. However, I am afraid that it might be a sign of an STD. I have only had two sexual partners. The first one I only had sex with once about two years ago with a condom and the other is the guy I am currently seeing. I know he has had different partners in the past. We have had unprotected sex a few times and we have also had oral sex, but after I went off the pill we just use condoms. He has never mentioned anything to me about STDs or anything and of course I (stupidly) have never asked him. I don't feel like I have any other signs of STDs and nothing on my vagina. I am definitely planning on getting tested, but I just wanted ask if anyone else would consider a sore throat as a sign of an STD. I did have a mild cold about two weeks ago and I still have a bit of mucus in my throat sometimes and a slight cough, so I am not sure if it is just that. I don't really feel any other symptoms either. I am just wondering if this is all in my head
