Im on birth control and have been for 3 and a half years. ive never had any problems and have never had spotting. I ended my period 4 days ago and had sex 3 days ago. Today, I had brownish spotting. Should I be worried? Ive never had spotting before
Hi! This could be just the rest of menstrual tissue that wasn't expelled during your period. Or this could be due to some hormonal change in your body. Are you taking birth control pills? Contraceptives can cause you brown spotting as well. Spotting occurs sometimes during ovulation. So it doesn't necessarily have to be a sing of pregnancy. If it gets heavier or lasts more that three days you should report this to your gynecologist. Take care.
