staph in urine

The portal of entry is usually through the urethra. Cranberry juice may be helpful.

The only way to aquire staph in this area is through the urethra or if an open wound in this general area. If a wound occurs the staph would not be passing through your system and eliminating in your urine, but rather falling in your urine (if you will) because it is not traveling through your system.

Hoseclamps is right, cranberry juice is helpful and so is plain water! If the symptoms persist, see your doctor and they will be able to prescribe some medication that will help.

While cranberry juice may be helpful, you should see your doctor and be put on antibiotics. I just had a diagnosis of staph and strep in my urine and was shocked since I take showers each day etc. Not sure how this happened.

I was put on a strong antibiotic Cipro.
